What is every photographer and brides worst nightmare? Give up? RAIN! Now the fun part is what you do all day to plan for it, although when you get there it becomes picture perfect. As a photographer thats what I have to do. Plan. The funny part is when I plan for it, it doesnt happen, so thats a good luck charm all in its own.
Heather and Daniel, one of the most loving couples, were married at Smathers Beach in Key West, Florida. Beach weddings are popular in the keys and they found out why. The two of them were introduced by a mutual friend, as many stories start out. Neither one of them had dated anyone seriously for about a year, and then they met. Their friend suggested they give it the ole college try, and the rest is history. Heather describes it as "the best thing they ever did." They both complete one another.
The two of them love to be in nature whether it be hiking or laying on the beach and being lazy. They are Zeppelin fans, which was a plus for me. They are best friends who wanted an intimate wedding with family, and thats exactly what happened.
When I asked them what their end result was, they answered "To be able to look back at our wedding day, and be able to remember how wonderful and magical the day was!" She wanted one of a kind photos and that is what happened.
One thing that I concentrate on as a Destination Wedding Photographer is showing the reason they picked Key West. The natural landscapes always present something different every time. To me having clouds adds to the drama and the effect of the day. The emotion is stronger, the backdrops come to life, and you get the end result Heather wanted. One of a kind!
